It is the difference between being complacent and determined. From sitting on the sidelines dreaming to actively pursuing your calling. From being a fan, cheering in the stands to coaching the team towards victory. From being a person of words to let your actions build your character. From doing the same mundane routine day-in and day-out to stepping up to be an influence in your community. As an ambitious mom who is full of vigor, drive, and ambition, being a leader is part of your essence as a career woman, mother, and mate. And you are constantly looking for opportunities to be successful and thrive.
Who would you connect with as you walk through your journey?
Someone who has continued contributions in providing superior results in the corporate world and private life with building leadership strategies in the three most significant areas of a mom's life: careers, parenting, and relationships. As an Empowerment & Leadership Strategist, I work with career and entrepreneur moms who are fiercely driven in creating success in those three areas of their lives.
Want to know a little bit more about me?
Born and raised in a south suburb of Chicago, IL, Aria Craig lived a life full of hardships being raised by a poor single mother without a father. In her early 20’s, she became a single mother herself. However, Aria was determined to strive through the challenges and excel against stigmas and stereotypes of single motherhood, earning a Bachelor of Technical Management and Masters of Business Administration. She has more than 20 years combined experience in finance, project management, leadership, and coaching.
Her most influential role, nonetheless, is that of a single mother to a teenage son. Everyone saw his leadership characteristics that she fashioned in him, including being valedictorian in kindergarten, Class President of Student Council in 5th grade, volunteering in community service, and receiving leadership awards from church youth conferences. Being an expert in co-parenting, Aria was compelled to share her tips on being a successful and educated working single mother. She met her significant other and married him on 11/11/11 and reunited with her father the same year.
Aria has mentored other ambitious moms with stepping into their purpose and building successful strategies that will propel them personally and professionally through coaching, consulting, training (webinars, workshops, and programs) and speaking engagements.
Aria Craig, Empowerment & Leadership Strategist, is the Amazon Best-Selling and Award-Winning Author of the three-part empowerment series, The Single Mother Diaries™, in which she offers tips and wisdom for single, divorced, co-parenting, and blended families in improving parenting skills, becoming business savvy in Corporate America / entrepreneurship, and cultivating healthy relationships with their significant others…the themes of all three volumes.
As a Certified Breakthrough Parenting Coach and experienced Consultant in Project Management, Aria is developing programs to propel the career-driven and entrepreneur mom towards success. She has been featured in podcasts and magazines, and a contributor for The BOSS Network, RollingOut, and Black Enterprise. She is a member of Lambda Kappa Mu Sorority, The BOSS Network, Hustle Mommies, National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), and Aglow International – Matteson Single Moms Group. She also served as the Professional Development Chair for the MetroBoard Auxiliary of the Chicago Urban League.
Aria Craig is the Owner and CEO of two establishments: MNT Publishing, LLC and WPA Billing and Bookkeeping Solutions for attorneys. She is also the founder of The M.I.L.E. Movement (Mothers Influencing Leadership & Empowerment).
What They Are Saying About Aria!
- “The Meet & Greet that Aria hosted on dating for the single mother was very informative. She taught me to the difference between how men and women think and respond to things. She also gave insight on finding a good time to introduce the kids to your significant other. Aria has a gift for helping you prepare yourself first to attract your mate. I recommend single moms seek her for coaching!”Angela S. , Planning Coordinator
- “What Aria is doing is very much needed in our communities, churches, and organizations for working moms. She understands the heartache and pains of raising a child as a single mom and the dynamics of a blended family.”Larry B., Intake Supervisor
- “It was hard for me to see myself as a leader at my place of employment as a single mom. I would see other people get promoted. It was difficult for me to ask for a promotion because I thought my department would not see me as a leader. Aria helped me to remove my limited thinking, developed an action plan, and I am now building more connection with my manager and colleagues in other departments. The next step is to show my manager how qualified I am to receive a promotion.”Cheryl T., Contract Administrator
